HR Soul is partnering with a sophisticated, multi-entity investment platform headquartered in Tampa. This organization supports a diverse ecosystem that includes private investment funds, structured entities, partnership vehicles, and affiliated operating companies.

They are seeking a CPA-eligible accounting professional who is ready to step beyond basic fund accounting and into ownership, oversight, and leadership.

This role is both technical and strategic.
You will not only prepare. You will review, refine, coordinate, and mentor.


What This Role Owns

You will serve as a key preparer and reviewer across multiple investment structures, working closely with fund administrators, compliance partners, tax advisors, auditors, treasury, and internal investment teams.

You will also supervise and mentor an Accounting Specialist, helping elevate the function as the platform continues to grow.

Core Responsibilities

Private Investment Fund & Structured Entity Oversight

  • Partner with external fund administrators to ensure timely, GAAP-compliant reporting

  • Review and validate expense allocations, management fee calculations, NAV calculations, and related reporting

  • Prepare and review capital call and distribution notices, equalization calculations, waterfall allocations, and investor communications

  • Review quarterly and annual financial statements and investor capital statements

  • Coordinate treasury documentation with internal treasury leadership

  • Support SEC and compliance reporting requirements

  • Review investor subscription documentation and assist with onboarding processes


Partnership & Incentive Vehicle Accounting

  • Oversee financial reporting for partnership and incentive entities

  • Review financial statements, reconciliations, AP/AR activity, reimbursements, and waterfall calculations

  • Coordinate treasury activity with internal stakeholders

  • Deliver quarterly and annual financial reporting to stakeholders

  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes across departments


Separately Managed Account Administration

  • Prepare and review reporting for separately managed accounts

  • Support tax preparation, audit readiness, management fee billing, capital activity, and liquidity events

  • Ensure portfolio reporting teams receive accurate and timely information

  • Deliver required reporting to stakeholders


Tax, Audit & Compliance Coordination

  • Prepare and review documentation for outside tax preparers

  • Coordinate year-end audit and valuation processes

  • Collaborate with external auditors and valuation professionals

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements


Process Improvement & Policy Development

  • Draft and refine accounting policies and procedures

  • Improve workflows, reporting structures, and file management systems

  • Ensure documentation is properly stored in secure electronic systems

  • Provide recurring and ad hoc reporting to investment teams

This role sits at the intersection of technical accounting and operational excellence.


Leadership Component

You will mentor and supervise an Accounting Specialist, providing:

  • Technical guidance

  • Process training

  • Quality review

  • Professional development support

This is a working leader role. You will both execute and elevate.


Ideal Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • CPA eligible required

  • 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to investment structures

  • Strong Excel proficiency

  • Ability to quickly learn financial systems

Exposure to fund accounting platforms or bill pay and equity management systems is a plus.
