We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations with accuracy, compassion, and professionalism. This role plays a critical part in ensuring prescriptions are prepared safely and efficiently while delivering excellent service to patients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prescription Fulfillment: Count, measure, mix, package, and label medications accurately and efficiently
  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients, collect information, answer phones, triage questions to the pharmacist, and assist with over-the-counter product inquiries
  • Inventory Management: Stock shelves, monitor medication levels, order supplies, and notify pharmacists of shortages
  • Administrative Support: Process insurance claims, enter data into pharmacy systems, maintain patient profiles, and manage required documentation
  • Coordination: Communicate with doctors’ offices and insurance providers for prescription clarification
  • Quality & Accuracy: Ensure correct medications, dosages, and labeling at all times
  • Maintain pharmacy cleanliness according to established schedules
  • Conduct monthly checks for expired medications
  • Adhere to HIPAA confidentiality standards
  • Follow and support enforcement of all company policies and procedures
  • Assist with assigned inventory tasks
  • Perform routine professional pharmacy functions
  • Support packing and shipping as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to fill up to 40 prescriptions per hour with accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions
  • Comfortable working in a standing environment
  • Effective, patient, and courteous communication skills
  • Collaborative team player able to work with pharmacists, staff, and management
  • Ability to work independently and meet daily deadlines
  • Capable of performing repetitive tasks with consistency and precision

Education and Experience

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Florida (required)
  • Minimum one year of pharmacy experience strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment / Physical Demands

This role operates in a typical pharmacy or office setting and requires prolonged standing and sitting, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity to operate computers and phone systems. Occasional extended hours may be required.
