HR Soul is recruiting an experienced HR Generalist – Talent & Team Member Relations in Tampa, FL to support one of our growing client partners. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who can confidently own hiring end-to-end, serve as a trusted first line of support for team member relations, and contribute meaningfully to HR projects and operational improvements.

About the Role: 

This is not an entry-level or “learn-as-you-go” generalist role. We are intentionally seeking someone with depth of experience, sound judgment, and the confidence to operate independently while partnering closely with leadership.

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of direct, hands-on talent acquisition experience
  • 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience, including team member relations
  • Proven ability to work independently and make informed HR recommendations
  • Role Focus (Approximate Allocation)

50% Talent Acquisition:

  • Own the recruiting lifecycle end-to-end, from intake through training handoff
  • Operate with minimal Director involvement
  • Independently evaluate candidates and make hiring recommendations
  • Partner with hiring managers, including pushing back when needed
  • Improve speed, quality, and consistency of hiring outcomes

30% Team Member Relations, Performance & Administrative Support:

  • Serve as first-line support for team member relations issues
  • Review performance evaluations prior to escalation
  • Support managers with basic coaching and performance conversations
  • Provide light administrative support related to LOA and Workers’ Compensation
  • (administrative support only, not ownership)

20% HR Projects & Initiatives:

  • Support preparation for potential HR or operational transitions
  • Assist with department goals, priorities, and performance initiatives
  • Contribute to policy, process, and HR operations improvements
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Strong foundation in HR operations with the ability to adapt to evolving systems and processes
  • Comfort working in ATS and HRIS platforms and navigating multi-state environments
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and the confidence to operate autonomously
  • Clear communicator who balances empathy with accountability
  • Tampa-based preferred; proximity to leadership is a plus
