ABOUT OMAR LOPEZ


Omar has built his HR career at the intersection of psychology, business strategy, and organizational transformation. Over more than 18 years, he has partnered with C-suite leaders at organizations such as Deloitte, UnitedHealth Group, and Victra to address complex people challenges—ranging from leading M&A integrations valued in the hundreds of millions to designing engagement strategies that reduced employee turnover by 25%.

What distinguishes Omar is his global perspective. He has navigated employment law, cultural dynamics, and workforce practices across the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America, providing rare expertise in multi-jurisdictional HR operations. His experience spans acquisition due diligence, executive succession planning, complex employee relations investigations, and the development of data dashboards that translate people metrics into clear business insights. In every engagement, Omar blends strategic vision with hands-on execution.

Omar’s approach is grounded in his background in psychology—deeply human-centered while rigorously data-driven. He holds the SHRM-SCP and SPHR certifications and is an ICF-certified Executive Coach. He earned a master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in Leadership and Change Management from Wilmington University. Today, he serves as a fractional HR leader and strategic advisor to organizations navigating growth, transformation, and change.

Based in St. Petersburg, Florida, Omar enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He is also a professional saxophonist and performs at venues throughout the Tampa Bay area.
